Salford Unemployed & Community Resource Centre is one of a network of Unemployed Centres in the North West and across the country. We are run democratically by our members through an elected Management Committee and we are funded by a variety of sources, the main source being The Community Fund

Although we are called an Unemployed & Community Resource Centre we deal with everyone whether in or out of work and you do not have to be a member of a Union to use our services. Our aims are to unite the employed & unemployed, to provide information and services to unemployed people and workers and to combat all forms of discrimination.

We provide a range of services and engage in a range of activities in pursuit of these aims. We campaign for a return to full employment and against measures which attack the unemployed. We offer support facilities to Trade Unions and Community Groups. We provide educational facilities, particularly to the unemployed. Please click on Training Courses for further information. We also provide advice and representation for people facing problems in a wide range of fields - Employment Law and Welfare Benefits
